Answering this question requires professionalism. On a job interview, it is not place to share your deepest secret, desires, or hopes to the recruiter but rather that is a place for business. That is the place to know your motivations on why you are applying for the position as a flight attendant.
The classic response of “I want to be a flight attendant because I wan to travel the world and go on tours for free.” A lot people already said it and you should forget it as well. Please don’t answer just like this “gasgas” or overused line. It doesn’t work anymore.

- The proper way to see the question is to view it as a business transaction. You are on the interview to offer a service and your interviewer will assess if you’re a good fit for the post.
The reason for this question is for recruiters know if you have ideas and information about flight attendant and its roles. You must incorporate it to your answer. They don’t just travel the world, take selfies on the Eiffel Tower, and things like that. You make sure you make a good research on what flight attendant does.
- Focus on what you can bring to the table. What can you give/ offer them? And not of what you can take from them.

“I always wanted to become a flight attendant ever since my first experience of flight as a kid. I remember my first flight and it has made such an impression for me that I have always aspired to become a part of the flight attendant team. Even though I very much enjoyed my current job, I am now looking for a job that is hands-on, challenging, spontaneous, and something that would help me grow as an individual. And I really think that I have the qualities that is needed in the role of a flight attendant. I really love working with people. If you let me choose between working in front of the computer or working with people, I would definitely work with people. I love it when every one is working towards the same goal, achieving the same thing, and afterwards celebrating together as well. So, aside from that I understand and I know that the excellent service is the bread and butter of the airline industry because every airline can offer the same thing or lower price but if you offer them the best service that will make an impression with them that is when I was a child, they will come back, and be loyal to your airline. And I am very much ready to become a part of that them that would make it happen. To make that excellent service happen for your company. Given the chance, I’m here and I’m ready to take on the challenge of being a flight attendant. Thank you.”
