Team player – Working in an airline, you’ll be working with a team – captain, pilot, and ground staff. It’s you as a team for the passengers.

Responsible – As part of the team, you need to be responsible. Everybody has to carry and they are looking for someone who has shown handling responsibility in her life.

Understanding nature – Flight attendant is a service-oriented job; you deal with people and not of computers. Then you have to understand what people are going through, and what conditions they are right at that time.

Confident – As the spoke person of the airline, you have to be confident to implement the rules.

Sense of humor – This is an asset to any company, a great life skill. Working with a person with sense of humor will make the room lighter.

Caring – Another thing aside from being understanding, you have to be caring to people whom you talk to – captain, pilot, ground staff, and passengers.

Good grooming – To present your best version of yourself all the time since you wear the airline’s uniform. They make sure that you will portray a very good image for the company.

Motivated – When you do the job, you do it as a team.

Enthusiastic – Aside from having the sense of humor, being enthusiastic can help and influence other people of positive vibes like smiling.

Dependable – A good team player is always dependable since the work is divided to each member of the team.

Friendliness – A flight attendant deals with different kinds of people and you have to welcome every passenger for the flight.

Resilience – During flights, there are many challenges such as: passengers are not listening and naughty kids, so you have to be resilient. Also, there are hard times and you must not give up.

Patience – The number 1 trait that you should have in any service industry because customers are always right. There will be times that your patience will be tested, and they are looking for people who will not cause more trouble in difficult situations.

Mature outlook in life – You must able to handle yourself in fulfilling you role as a flight attendant since you have no one but yourself alone.

Organized – You are in charge for the supplies like food, and the like. Then, you have to be organized because in 2 hours of flight, you need to feed 350 people. You need to manage your time to deliver the service.

Effective listener – When people complains to you, you must listen first and don’t interrupt them. People usually look for someone who can listen.

Assertive – Being firm without being aggressive, it’s standing your ground but be classy and nice about it. You need to cause an argument but rather implement.

Good communicator – The job entails a lot of communication with passenger, co-crew, and captain. Of which is the daily prime of the job, so they need people who can communicate very well not only in English but also in a way that you can handle passengers.

To be a flight attendant, you must therefore have the above mentioned top qualities to pursue your dream career. Always make a room for improvement and practice. Anyhow, the most important thing is your will and passion to be a flight attendant and everything else follow.
