In here, I will discuss the things to know before you become a flight attendant.
- Do not apply as a flight attendant if you don’t think you can’t survive moving out of the country, because most people get homesick. Some didn’t survive because of loneliness. You have to be physically, emotionally ready to move out of your comfort zone.
- Do not apply as a flight attendant if you’re not open to new cultures, because culture shock is real about different things. Example, culture varies from one place to another. Just respect to avoid misunderstanding. Try to research and study like in the Middle East, to acquire knowledge about the country and their culture.

- Do not apply as a flight attendant if you don’t like studying, because flight attendants study a lot. Being a flight attendant, you need to study the aircraft, emergency or safety procedures, and with your other roles.Studying will always be part of your job.
- Do not apply as a flight attendant if you can’t handle jetlag and your sleeping pattern, because you have to adjust on your schedule. Being physically fit and healthy is a requirement, they don’t hire anemic people. Like when you’re in Paris today, you’ll fly back to Philippines the next day. Your schedule is afar from a 9am-5pm office job.
- Do not apply as a flight attendant if you don’t like to work with people, because senioritywill be a concern. Just stay positive, chill, but with self-respect. If you’re not an easy to work with, it’s gonna be a problem. It’s an everyday working with them.
- Do not apply as a flight attendant if you don’t like customer service, because your major role is to take care of the passengers’ needs. Keep them happy, be patient in handling complaints.
The job of a flight attendant has a certain fit to people, but not for everyone. Try to figure out if these things will work for you and if yes, then you are fit to be a flight attendant. Also, there would no job that will make you happy because it is you who will make you happy, it’s your choice.
