Here, I would like to impart the lessons I learned from our Miss Universe 2018, Ms. Catriona Gray as flight attendant aspirants:

  1. Never give up!It took her a while to get the crown, so do not give up on your dreams to become a flight attendant as well.
  2. Be grateful.Coming from a place of gratefulness attracts positiveness. A good mindset will make the universe give you more gratefulness which she incorporated in her answer.
  3. Be positive.Whether its a failure and you can feel bad but make a turn. Try your best to see the positive side on everything in your life.

  1. Practice 1M times.Her famous lava walk, she worked hard to make that perfect through practice. You should practice as well  in answering interview questions and the other aspects to ace a slot.
  2. Never stop working on yourself.She never stopped working, learning, and practicing. She always do. There’s always a room for improvement.

 

Question: “What is the most important lesson you’ve learned in your life and how would you apply it to your time as Miss Universe?”

Answer: 

"I work a lot in the slums of Tondo, Manila, and the life there is very poor and very sad. I’ve always taught myself to look for the beauty in it, to look for the beauty in the faces of the children, and to be grateful. I would bring this aspect as a Miss Universe to see situations with a silver lining, and to assess where I could give something, where I could provide something as a spokesperson. If I could teach also people to be grateful, we could have an amazing world where negativity could not grow and foster, and children would have a smile on their face. Thank you."

 

  1. Go straight to the point. You have to answer briefly and not a merry-go-round kind of answer because the recruiters time is precious with you and the other 200 applicants.
  2. Give examples.It’s easy to say that your the best candidate, you have to back it up by siting examples based on your experience.
  3. Give genuine smiles on your interview day by thinking happy thoughts. You are on your interview, so you are now a step closer to your dreams to become a flight attendant. Be happy and smile.
  4. Be a giver.Be the kind of person who likes to give rather than to take.

 

 

Indeed, Ms. Catriona deserves the crown because of the desire of her heart to raise our flag and to help all that she could do with gratefulness. A dream come true for her and for all the Filipinos. Now, its your turn to make your dream to become a flight attendant come to life.
