  1. Show up unprepared. It’s always better to prepare before your interview in terms of looks, and documents to boost your confidence more. If you need help in preparation, you may check my book entitled Ready for Take Off- wherein all the information needed are listed.
  2. Don’t research the airline. In application, we tend to apply for more than one airline but you have to research each company thoroughly.
  3. Hide your application. Saving face will just let you loose energy. Try to take it on a positive note by claiming it, believe in yourself of getting the job instead of hiding it to every one. Just be neutral as what the law of attractions is. Be positive on its outcome.
  4. Have negative beliefs. That “bahala si batman”or “kung para sa ‘kin, para sa kin” are no-nos. Because you’re putting the responsibility away from yourself. Take away those tyamba and luck beliefs, own your own experience.
  5. Fear rejection. Running away from something because it might let you experience rejection. Tho it’s a valid kind of fear but be brave, encourage yourself to face it. One saying says that if you want something that you had never have before, you have to do something that you have never done before.
  6. Judge and criticize yourself. Let’s leave the judgement and criticism to recruiters. Those are their tasks not yours. Focus on steps on getting the job instead.
  7. Doubt yourself. In interviews, its like a sales talk wherein the recruiter is looking for cabin crew and you, as an applicant needs to sell yourself. Prove them that you are the best fit candidate as a cabin crew. Believe in yourself, make them know that you can perform, deliver, and do the job.
  8. Hold grudges. When you get rejected the first time from an airline, you tend to be disappointed and make tampo. You have all that negative feelings on the airline but you should know that it is a business transaction. You can be disappointed on the experience but never hold on and instead  move forward on the next opportunity.
  9. Fail to practice a ready answer. Being over confident lets you think you know everything and just answer whatever that comes on your mind. However, it’s always good to practice in answering questions and conveying your ideas to come up with better delivery of your thoughts.
